Positano true blue & turquoise summer colors

martedì 30 luglio 2013

Pictures taken a few days ago, view towards the little harbor - molo di Positano. Via Positanesi d'America, the path cut into the cliffs you see to the left, is shaded in part by pine trees, bougainvillea, olives and American vines
In Positano one must get to grips with the ever changing colors, and the range of colors in the first place. This is a blog mainly dedicated to gardening, plants, but I just want to show to all of you the incredible variety of colors you find here in Positano during all seasons and not only summer, with my favorite pics - the turquoise water shades you find along the coastline and the small rocks and boulders stretching until under the sea level.
This is Torre Trasita, and the stretch of Via Positanesi d'America leading towards the Molo of Positano. I took these pictures only 2 days ago, so they convey the colors of the sea just as it is now, in July
Light greyish pebbled beaches, rock formations, grottos, the blue sky and plants reflected on the sea bed are the reason why you can watch the color of the sea change every hour or so, and every season anyway. Here are some impressions that I have collected for you, here in Positano.
My favorite shade of turquoise, taken in the afternoon just in front of Torre Trasita, even though the water is much more whipped up due to intense motor boat traffic and sunbathers
Torre Trasita is surrounded by pini marittimi - maritime pine trees In the background you can see a small stretch of the Marinella Beach - Spiaggia della Marinella. Behind it is Fornillo Beach.
